ltd is a specialist storage and distribution company which
was set up to move furniture and bulky items around the
country at an affordable price. |
| For
several years I managed furniture wholesale and retail businesses
in the North East, supplying products to hundreds of customers
on a weekly basis throughout the UK. I tried almost all the
major carriers in the country to try and find someone who could
offer a personal, quick and affordable service – however
the only people who could meet my budget were national carriers
who used a “Hub” service. |
| Needless
to say this style of service is no good to furniture companies,
after all the more hands that touch the furniture, the greater
the chance your item will end up damaged. I even tried the “white
van man” however their rates were often more than the
furniture they were carrying (some charge 80p - £1.50
per mile), and when you have a bed which needs to be moved
from Middlesbrough to London this can work out in excess of £250!
Not one to settle for second best, I set up ifurn and now do
it myself. |
| I operate
a fully insured small fleet of 3.5t vans that deliver and collect
furniture and bulky items at a fraction of our competition,
and because we already work with national retailers, internet
companies, manufacturers and wholesalers, chances are we will
have a van going to your required destination within 7-14 days. |
